Sirius Software saturated the continent of Australia with its 2001 Fall Roadshow. Presentations were delivered to customers in Perth, Melbourne and Canberra. Most of the presentations dealt with our product plans and new features developed over the past year. However there was also an intensive seminar on XML and Janus SOAP comprising four one-hour presentations.

Sirius has a long history of working with the Department of Social Security and its successor Centrelink. All of our early work and much of our later work was related solely to improving the performance of Model 204. However, for the last six years Sirius has focussed the bulk of its energies on making Model 204 more open. This presentation reviews the history of the Sirius relationship to Centrelink and provides an overview of where we are headed.

Changes originally developed as part of the Perf3 project have now been included into Version 5.1 of Model 204. User Language programmers need to update their understanding of how best to code certain types of processing so as to receive maximum benefit from Version 5.1. This presentation reveiews some of the recent performance changes as well as other siginificant API changes in Version 6.1 of the Sirius mods.
