1998 Sirius Software User Group September 20 - September 23 Cambridge, Massachusetts |
The fourth annual Sirius User Group was held from Sunday, September
20, 1998 through Wednesday, September 23, 1998 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Once again we took advantage of the excellent facilities of the MIT faculty
club (building E52 on the MIT campus),
just minutes from the Kendall Square stop on the
MBTA Red Line.
The conference featured an exciting blend of leading edge overviews and
in-depth technical presentations, illustrated with many live demonstrations.
Many of the foils from the presentations are available online. See the
information and tips below on the alternative choices
for viewing these presentations.
Available Online Formats
Most presentations can be viewed in any of three different ways :
- As a Lotus Freelance presentation. This is the most compact way to
download the presentation and provides the highest quality screen images
as well as the ability to print foils.
In order to take advantage of this format, you need to download and
install the
Lotus Web Screen Show Player (2,968K):
- Click the Web Screen Show Player icon.
- Do one of the following:
If you are using Internet Explorer, choose Save it to Disk and click OK.
Navigate to the folder on your local drive in which you want to save the Install
program and click OK.
If you are using Netscape Navigator, Navigate to the folder on your
local drive in which you want to save the Install program and click Save.
- Start Windows or Windows NT Explorer.
- Navigate to the folder in which you saved the Install program.
- Double-click flgwssp.exe.
- Follow the instructions.
- Once the install completes, restart your browser.
For more information and examples, see
http://www.lotus.com/freelance.
- As a single document containing all foils. This is a convenient format
format for viewing or printing all the foils, however, it can take a long
time to download the entire document.
- As a linked set of foils. This is an easy and fast way to look at the
first few foils, however, it is inconvenient for printing and requires a
user/network interaction per foil.
