1999 Sirius Software Australian User Group November 8 - November 9 Canberra, ACT |
The first annual meeting of the Sirius Software Australian User Group
was held from Monday, November 8 through Tuesday, November 9 in Canberra.
The event was hosted at the
Country Comfort Inn.
Turnout was excellent, with representatives from several out of town
Model 204 sites joining with a large number of Centrelink staff.
The Sirius team was present in force, and gave many presentations.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity for Sirius staff to interact
with a diverse group of knowledgeable and informed customers.
Highlights of the conference included presentations from Centrelink on their
current applications and future directions for Model 204, with a
memorable performance from Guy Hutchinson.
Many of the the presentations given are available online. See the
information and tips below on the alternative choices
for viewing these presentations.
Available Online Formats
Most presentations can be viewed in any of three different ways :
- As a Lotus Freelance or Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. This is the most compact way to
download the presentation and provides the highest quality screen images as well as the ability
to print foils.
In order to take advantage of this format, you need to download and
install the appropriate viewer:
-
Lotus Web Screen Show Player (2,968K):
- Click the Web Screen Show Player icon.
- Do one of the following:
If you are using Internet Explorer, choose Save it to Disk and click OK.
Navigate to the folder on your local drive in which you want to save the Install
program and click OK.
If you are using Netscape Navigator, Navigate to the folder on your
local drive in which you want to save the Install program and click Save.
- Start Windows or Windows NT Explorer.
- Navigate to the folder in which you saved the Install program.
- Double-click flgwssp.exe.
- Follow the instructions.
- Once the install completes, restart your browser.
For more information and examples, see

-
Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer.
- Click the Animated PowerPoint Viewer icon.
- Follow the instructions shown.
- As a single document containing all foils. This is a convenient format
format for viewing or printing all the foils, however, it can take a long
time to download the entire document.
- As a linked set of foils. This is an easy and fast way to look at the
first few foils, however, it is inconvenient for printing and requires a
user/network interaction per foil.
